stuff we've never seen before-- july hotbuys

oooh, more new clothes. july hotbuys, which stardoll advertises as "golden...resort items." i think these are definitely different from other items stardoll has released...
1. the shorts. i love em. such a cute color, and i'll definitely be getting these adorable shiny pink shorts when they come out.
2. ruffle bikini! i think it's so sweet :]
3. record necklace. really cute.
4. zebra jmpsuit...no. jumpsuits will NEVER look good, really.
5. my mom owns those shoes, i think...
and everything else is just okay. i mean, these clothes are pretty different than other releases, and have their own style, which is pretty good, right?
overall.... 7.5/10, i think.
keep the fresh stuff coming, stardoll, and i won't have to do a 'why we hate the new stardoll, part 2.'
amen, hallelujah, bye.

why we hate the new stardoll, part 1.

okay. hello tharr, stardollies.

i'm gonna bash your beloved site, because i'm just getting sick of a lot of things.

1. yeah, i get it's a fashion website, but you're becoming such a generic fashion site for little girls it's getting sickening.
2. please, please stop with the limited edition. 250 stardollars for CLOTHES? clothes you can't even wear. i'm gonna calculate this... see how much you really spend on fake clothes.

let's say you're a superstar, the cheapest. five bucks for a month. and you want to buy something for 75 stardollars. that's another five.
right there, that's TEN REAL DOLLARS you just spent on fake clothes. you have to be superstar to buy it, and will need more money in order to get your beloved LE ugly dresses. but what if you wanted the 250 dress, and you had a year long superstar account?
THIRTY BUCKS, lovers. thirty. i think you could actually buy real clothes with that.
so, overall, LOWER YOUR PRICES, STARDOLL. "finally, an affordable way to shop online," says E! entertainment. really? affordable?
3. you have no clue what you're talking about. stop pretending like you're hip to the grunge culture. in the last two weeks you've used the phrase 'grunge' about twenty times. NO.

huh. one looks like she just woke up from hardcore moshing/sleeping outside (aka, grunge), the other looks like a model wearing plaid, talking annoyingly on her iphone, and NOT BEING AT ALL GRUNGE. and so on.
and i'm sure i'll be angry again at some point, and end up writing more, but for now, you get the idea.
love and hate,
lucille.

MIDNIGHT.MOON on lady gaga!

Hey Dolls of Stardoll! This is midnight.moon writing for stardollunderground. Everyone knows Lady Gaga's style is wacky and crazy, but what does she think of her fashion sense? She states that she is "very into fashion" and that it is "everything" for her. She is very iconic, actually, and anyone can pick her out of a fashion lineup. We all have seen something crazy and wild on her, but she pulls it off easily and stands out from every other singer on the stage. I think she had great sense of style and like the way she looks- especially the dress she wore for Pokerface [which can be found in the stardoll stores!] and the bubble dress. Honestly, have you ever seen someone dress like that and make it work? Somehow, some way Lady Gaga dresses crazily and still stays at the top of the charts with her hit "Just Dance." Lady Gaga is a natural brunette, though her hair has not been its natural color since 2008. According to Times Online, Lady Gaga's hair is bleached because as a brunette, she kept being mistaken for fellow singer-songwriter Amy Winehouse. Her image and fashion sense has been channeled by other celebrities like Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie, and countless other celebrities who admire her courage to emerge wearing something that stands out completely. Teenage girls as young as age sixteen were buying the black undergarments and wearing them as hot pants to emulate Gaga's style. Personally, I think Lady Gaga's style isn't exactly appropriate for girls that age, but as an artist she knows how to work those styles. Lady Gaga's fashion isn't exactly 'underground,' but she still gives hope to the pop/electro music genre and that some musicians still believe in standing out rather than blending in.

model of the whenever.

because she's the only model we got so far :]

midnight.moon may be an added writer for le blog. she specializes in celebrities and their unique styles.
this look is inspired by lady gaga, one artist that stands out from all of the other singers. so here you gooooo...

okay bye.

two AM...

hi dollies.

i'm going to bed.

but i thought i'd also remind people that if they have suggestions or want to write for me, PLEASE ask as well. i give gifts for each article that you write, so just by writing 1 article that i end up using, you get 1 gift :]

not hard.

not hard at all.

you can send it to me over dollmail and i'll put it up for you with your own title bar :D so it's worth it. for the three people reading, it's worth it.

AND YEAH.

good night/morning/blah.

LULUMAEE.

ANYONE who reads this...

please be a model? just looking for people willing to model alternative styles- if you say you'd like to, that means i can use your girl's outfit as a model for my/aedan's articles or whatever.

and you get prizessssss :D
so maybe that'll convince you?
no? please? i'd really like some of you to model for me.

but fine. go ahead.
i'll do it MYSELF.
love,
lucille mae and aedan rae.

june hotbuys.

HEY YOU.
you're HOT.
and i'm lucille.

new hotbuys. i never expect much. they're HOTBUYS. it doesn't matter if the dress is made of turds and duct tape with a rope made of braided kitten tails. say the magic word- HOTBUYS -and i promise you, a whole swarm of superstars is going to run for those dresses like there's no tomorrow!

" holy shit marlene, these are the ugliest- oh, wait, they're hotbuys? ohmygod i love them. let's go watch hannah montana and go dress up our dolls as MILF's!"

see. magic. so let's see this month's hotbuys. any good?

i've seen better, but i do love the flower printed hot buys dress, along with the darling shirt. the ruched hot buys skirt looks like the chick's ready for clubbing, the crop jacket is too 'princess elite bitch' for me, and the BIKINI necklace? piece of shit. why would you want a necklace of a swimsuit? next they'll be asking for swimsuits of necklaces...

oh, wait, they do that, don't they?

overall, i give this shit a 6/10. not the worst, but all of the hotbuys are running together. i mean, come on, we used to have harlequin hotbuys! that was cool. this stuff is plain and no NO thanks.
LUcille.

what stardoll needs. NOW.

okay. hi there. it's aedan aedan AEDAAAN.
im sick of all the little babies going "U SKAMMER! I WANT MY SKOOBAH DRESS BACK U CHEETER!"
and all of the pages in the biggest font possible that say: HUM_HALLELUJAH3 IS A SCAMMER! REPORT HER OR MY BABY HEAD WILL ASPLODE!!! $#@^*
so, uh, STARDOLL. let's make this easier on ourselves. ready? SAFE TRADING. yes. you know, like an actual system that does the trading? set the item/money and trade for items/money? i mean, really. how nice would that be? NICE. it would be verry good. very very good.
so there you have it. also, while on the topic of shit stardoll needs to fix up-
1. callie.stardoll, you are annoying as FXXK. oh, and POLLS are different from QUIZZES. half of the time i don't know the real answer. a POLL is an OPINION. get it right, annoying whore. and stop bragging.
2. where's the site suggestion box??? i need to complain directly to a stardoll employee, not a blog.
love me hate me. you still want me in your bed.
AEDAN.

lace and parasols--going back in time.

hey dollies, it's lucille.

just wanted to share with you the most adorably dark website ever-- http://www.gloomth.com/

this online store carries the cutest in gothic and lolita clothing, and makes me think i really need to get a job if i wanna ever look that cute...

ANYWAYS.

check it out!--->
an adorably victorian look, with a hint of loli in there!
they even have mini berets that make me want to squeal and put on some baroque rock at the same time.

thought i'd share that with you underground fashion lovers.

and, if you love the look of lolita but can't afford all of the fancy dresses, mookychick.co.uk brings you a guide to creating your very own loli-lace parasol :]
http://www.mookychick.co.uk/diy_ethic/gothic-lolita-parasol.php

lulucille.

hair falls- like a rainbow puked happy on your head!

dollies dollies dollies. it's aedan, your hip groovin' stardollie...

never mind.

anyways. this is kind of a joint article as i pushed all the research onto lucille.

anyways, i was getting off a bus some point last weekend [better than being escorted everywhere by mommy poo] and i passed a girl with insane neon pink and black twisted dreads, with neon goggles on her head. it was too cool. i had to stop and ask her about it.

[this is where lulu starts. giving her credit.] she said she had dread falls, extensions that are tied around buns on the top of your head. they look like that picture over yonder or wherever it is. the falls are made of wool or yarn, used by goths/ cybergoths / and ravers, and just look awesome, in my opinion. i couldn't pull off anything that crazy, but i thought i'd share, just in case anyone on stardoll does have these in real life. and here's an article from my favorite alternative site [mookychick.co.uk] about dreads and falls--- http://www.mookychick.co.uk/style/hair_falls.php
[picture from www.hairfromhell.com]
seriously. i wish my head was that badass.
and aedan doesn't have the hair for that.
love,
alt/lucille.
and sexy aedan.

everyone loves a raver.

hey dollies. fashion profile numero uno.

rave culture- it's one of the underground styles that has partially emerged into society, through extreme neon and crazy colors.

and we see a lot of it on stardoll. it makes me happy.

ACTUAL RAVER! and me. you know i look ready for the nightlife.

it's a clubbing culture, famed for extreme colors, glowsticks, revealing clothing (it gets hot dancing, you know) and metallic fashions.
sure, there are bad connotations with drugs and stuff, but really?
ravers just wanna have fun!
and they use standout fashion to do that.
so all you ravers out there...if you happen to actuallybe reading this...leave me a message if you wanna model for us out there.
slip on your brightest skirt and tank and get ready for a paaaaartee :D
rave on,
lucille.

meeeeeOUCH. mermaid chic???

HEY YOU OUT THERE.

lucille gave me permission to make fun of how unpopular this blog is...but im heer to CHANGE THAT. with lucille's help, obvs.

so yes yes.

i'd just like to say that anyone who adds color to this world with their clothing deserves a GOLDEN SILVER STAR, maybe with like chocolate in the middle cause that would just be splendid.

speaking of splendid, is it so wierd to be absolutely in love with the new clothes in the tingeling shop?

very fairy-chic. i LIKE IT. and it's definitely something different, and really adorable! fishy and adorable!
OVERALL, i give the new clothes NINE OUT OF TEN chocolate stars!
and there you go. i reviewed something.
HAPPY, LUCILLE?
good.
AEDAN!!!!!

NEW WRITER.

hello dearest dollies...if anyone actually reads this...

which isn't even necessary...oh wait, it is, cause i need to start pumping out actual shtuff here. like stuff about fashion.

love love love,
lucille

doll of the day.

doll of the day-
the first! tonight...today... [it's 2 am here], the model is-

midnight.moon! [who just happens to be my actual sister.]

bing! this is a simple style with a layered jacket and cardigan, and white skinnies. the blue shirt is a pop of color that draws eyes and complements the whole look. it's a city-worthy look that turns heads and doesn't blend in.

to try out for doll of the day, just send hum_hallelujah3 a message on stardoll and i'll check it out.

writers? anyone?

dear dollies,

if you have a good sense of fashion, let me know if you want to write or model for me. let's make this famous.
and if you have extremely good fashion-
interviews, prizes, and daily features will be available to you! i'm especially looking for people who have wild fashion that still is very cute or that stands out.
you can leave me a message here or back on old stardoll.

thanks,
lucille.

pricing? REALLY?

dear dollies,

back in 06, when i first started spending real money on virtual clothes i couldn't even wear, each outfit cost me about twelve stardollars total.

what happened, stardoll?

now, dresses are getting up to 16 bucks each, and that's not including the 200 dollar limited edition dresses that aren't even that cute. people just buy them for bragging rights and because they're 'IN.'

yeah, waste of money. LOWER THE PRICES, STARDOLL, OR IM LEAVING!

...not really. you're too addicting. but i think fashion isn't about price, or how expensive something is. it's what's appealing to the eye- art in fabric form.

love,
lucille.

here's the deal, dollies.

dear dollies,

lately, while getting my virtual shopping fix on stardoll, i've noticed something.
amidst the masses of look-alike dolls with no sense of fashion or creativity, there are some jewels that stand out and produce fabulous outfits that are different, but still amazing.
these girls aren't afraid to look different and rule the virtual underground culture of stardoll. and the thing is, these days almost every medoll looks the same and buys the same hotbuys and wears the same 'in style' clothing. i think it's time some of these creative girls of stardoll get a chance to show that hotbuys aren't important. limited edition isn't important. it's how you wear the clothes and mix styles that really matters.

seeing as this is the first post, i'm assuming no one's really reading.
but i am looking for people to be writers as well. their job- to find the most creative girls and boys on stardoll and bring the underground culture to life.

you up for a challenge, stardoll? stop following trends. set them.
go underground.

love,
lucille/ humhallelujah
